Is the newest chairman to MuirCrop (large conglomerate in Port Manteau, think DC comics Wayne Enterprises level of power/money/influence/etc, although MuirCorp is far from the only conglomerate in Port Manteau.)
As of Part II of LL (Day 260+), he's also now a mafia boss in the criminal syndicate with a family of unknown/unaffiliated Family/Organization status. His title is Il Re, and people only know the head of the family as Il Re. This mafia family is old world, old money, and extremely well-respected. They are most well known for vigilante justice among the criminal underground, but only interfere in a few select circumstances (as in, it's a criminal organization, they don't stop people from doing crimes, just they are against certain business practices and will actively antagonize those operations with a lot better precision than actual law enforcement. Their criminal activities are mostly unknown, and the current rumor is their power is maintained through old world ties and their skills as assassins, cleaners, and fixers.
His family is well connected, and they are very rigid and strict about who joins, which makes for a tight and efficient group of loyalists. He actually is the author of a popular crime drama series. His novels are under the pen-name M. S. Elyod. His work in investigative journalism (and other stuff) helps him writing compelling and successful mysteries. He's a talented storyteller through and through. His identity as Elyod is not publicly known anymore, although if someone did enough digging or was a fan from the very start, they would know Sam and Elyod are the same. Sam quickly became disenchanted with how people treated him when they thought they had something to gain even as superficially as a bit of popularity, so he faded out his identity very quickly. He doesn't have a great view of the entertainment industry, but is very good to his fans.

I like plotting and meaningful CR, even though I can just wing it, too. So don't be shy if you wanna do things!
Just a note that this character will charm, flirt, or be otherwise playful by default. If it makes you uncomfortable, just let me know and I won't do it to your character!
I consider 2-3 threads in a row where it's dropped after one tag-in, never responded to, or continuously long delayed tags (more than 5 days) while threading actively with multiple others (including very quickly with others, such as replying within hours for several responses and to several different threads, for the last example) with no OOC communication as a silent request to opt-out of playing with this character. I totally get having a hard time threading something in particular, finding other tagging easier, threads not giving and consider them valid reasons for this behavior just listed, and want to respect that, but I can't be sure if I'm not being informed OOCly. Since I don't want anyone uncomfortable because they are too shy to opt-out by telling me directly, I'll assume the more severe situation without OOC communication. I will consider all previous CR in any of these cases to either be void of importance due to natural drifting apart of characters or simply just ignore it so there's no weird messiness on either side. It can be reinstated if communicated to me there's been a misunderstanding on my end, as I'm careful to remove it by omission rather than remove it by making IC statements (aka important character A will just no longer be mentioned when they might have been otherwise rather than anything saying ICly or OOCly that character A and this character are no longer close.) This is just me trying to figure out the best way to make others and myself at peace with the situations if we can't communicate properly. I am always very open to ooc communication for whatever is needed, though, and DMs are open for anyone. I really like lack of communication.
I also consider always being the one to reach out (ICly or OOCly) that the CR just isn't doing much for you and will have a tendency to pull back out of caution and anxiety. I usually just 'pause' this CR, especially if the threads are threaded out decently, so if you want to continue CRing in any of the situations where I've stopped, all you need to do is tag me again.
