[ But before they do move to the couch, he's going to check Sam over to see if there injuries from his slime fight. It was a bit hard to tell on the stage with everything going on. ]
[ Breathes a sigh of relief. Well then, he will just make himself comfortable on Cirrus's very large couch and pat the space next to him so that Sam may configure himself if any way he wants. ]
[ Science says Jun will allow much for Sam today considering that he just fist-fought a deathly gelatinous cube to save a man who wasn't included in the fine print of a contract with their blood-drinking judge.
He pats Sam head once before moving his arm to the armrest. ]
[ thank you. ] ...I was just thinking maybe I made it worse after talking to a couple people. Like maybe if I didn't get so frustrated with this monster stuff and demand a chance to fight it that he would have been fine anyway. That wasn't a pleasant experience for him. He still got traumatized by death even if it didn't take hold.
How about you tell me about Holy Order's experience?
When we entered the hallway, Moray introduced himself to us very calmly. Only Uriel had met him before and he is also an amnesiac, so know one knew him very well. To prove his identity, we had him tell us stories of his time here on the ship, and then we called Siren's Melodies to confirm. Unfortunately, the people he told stories of were unavailable so we collected stories from the rest of the Family through the mirror and had him answer some questions. His answers were mostly accurate, so even though there was some other doubt, we decided to not look back.
I'd still make that same choice today, but after seeing what happened to some of the other Families— I don't think I truly understood just how horrible the outcome we avoided was.
When I spoke with Barachiel, it seemed it was near the end that the monster devoured him and then the Family he was with. So who can say really.
So perhaps your way of doing things may have been a little forceful, but I do believe Cirrus put itself in the best position to handle the situation on their terms.
...I didn't go back. I stayed behind while the others ran. I didn't know how fast it was I didn't want it catching any of the others. Breezy was willing to trust the Dame, but I didn't.
I used a piece of the mirror and the flashlight to put some light behind us and had Breezy hold the mirror to see what it was in case it was Aracha. He only saw ooze. When I turned around Aracha was being dragged into it and suffocated.
He said that the ooze was all over and along the walls when we talked to him initially. I thought he might be inside the monster somehow, but apparently he said the ooze just suddenly seemed as if it 'realized' that we could escape and it congealed all around him and tried to drag him under. I wasn't expecting Aracha to be there too with the monster when I turned around, I actually wasn't sure what to make of it.
Well, just, I mean I said I wanted to fight the monster but it grabbed him. If I hadn't maybe it would have just disappeared...? I don't know, I talked to Heron with Unholy and he said they also chose to fight the monster to protect Aster, but I'm not sure if I made a really irresponsible decision.
That thing was disgusting, it wasn't just gross smelling ooze. I can't imagine the shit he's gonna deal from that. I don't regret what I did, but... yeah...
I'm not going to say it wasn't a risky decision. Since you had already guaranteed your safety in the performance— staying back to fight the monster could be considered as rash or irresponsible. But you saved Aracha as a result. So I cannot say it is any more risky than those who chose to not look behind.
Perhaps looked at another way, what would you be feeling now if you and Aracha had been devoured by the monster?

I don't think I can eat meat or gelatin for a while...
Re: Day 212
Understandable.
We'll have to figure out how to doctor those plain spaghetti noodles in the meantime.

Re: Day 212
But I was actually quite comfortable.
[ Will take Sam's hand and be pulled up. ]
