He got so fascinated by the stories his father told him of heroes, including his father's own tales as he was what they call an 'Adventurer,' which from what I can tell is a kind of traveling good samaritian + helping hand for hire that's got skills most normal people lack. He was determined to go have his own adventures and come back to his family a hero, even though he was too young and never had any training because his parents were pretty protective of him. but he couldn't wait until he was older, so he decided to run away from home to find someone who could help learn what he needed to become a hero.
