Not... entirely sure. The only people in the memory were one of our bodyguards that was injured, the private family doctor I called to tend to him, and the two of us.
Such as, whoever let her have a gun, whether deliberately or accidentally. The body guard who clearly failed at their job. The guardians who presumably had some influence over her care. The friend who could have handled things differently. And, of course, Vera herself.
[ Sam shifts in his sitting position as he listens carefully before nodding slowly. He does hear and acknowledge on some level what Booker is saying makes sense, but it's extremely hard to suppress the insane survivor's guilt. ]
Honestly, I think my behavior is mostly because it feels like it just happened all over again. It feels raw and I can't just suppress it like other memories I have that I'm not fond of.
[ why is Booker so damn understanding what is going on. Is this what they mean when saying you just need to tell to the right person? He's not belittling or dismissing or trying to move past Sam's troubles. He's not trying to distract him from them either. He's just listening and tolerating Sam's self-guilt while pointing out sensible logical things to try and get Sam to ease up on himself. ]
Jewel already made promise in detail not to do it again. So I can't do it again even if I want to. But... I'll try and talk to you if it's not a bother...
I won't. Not only is it not my place, you outed yourself to help me which most people wouldn't do. [ Feel free to use it if you need to be convinced. ]
Bye. [ please show yourself out because even acknowledging this between them a second longer by getting the door for you to leave is gonna clearly trash their reputations beyond repair point. ]

I know that's not an excuse but...

Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
Don't I? It's pretty bad behavior...
Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
But I've done similar things so I can't say I don't understand.

Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
It's fine really. And if you have that much trouble sleeping, I can put you under again.
Was the hallucinations from lack of sleep?
Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
Okay...
And, yeah, pretty sure.

[he can handle them in nightmares and whatever, but seeing things crawl around on the ship just sucks. ]
Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
Speaking of, about my blessing. Please don't mention it to anyone else.

Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
Good, thanks.
Anything else we need to talk about before I put responsible adult mode into a box and ideally don't touch it again for at least a month?
Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
[ please put it away, Booker, damn. It's powerful. ]
... Thanks for your help, again.
Re: [Day 15 Morningish]
[he will get to his feet]
Bye.
