[Looks towards where they were headed and then in the direction Sam is now walking]

I thought you wanted to explore the third floor? Did I interrupt your plans?

No, you're fine. [ he says it a bit quieter than his normal friendly and enthusiastic voice. He doesn't sound upset or anything though. ] This place is exactly the same, so I don't need to check it further.

...all right. If you're sure then.

...Sometimes I see things. When I see those things, I usually change my plans.

Oh, just... eh, actually, it's hard to explain. I've never told anyone that before so I've never thought about describing it.

[ Sam pauses before he turns around to look behind them again. slowly, he points the flashlight upward towards corners of the ceiling. there doesn't seem to be anything there for jewel. ]

... Liquid tar. Too thick to be ink. Sticky. [ that's definitely not all he's seeing but it's kind of a silent warning it's probably kinda creepy or unsettling if it isn't already sounding weird. ]

[Glances in the direction the flashlight points, frowning]

Tar, huh....

[ Sam stares a bit longer. ]

...Yeah. Uh... there was a really inhumane crime at a place outted a few years ago. Had to do with human trafficking and experimentation. I don't remember anymore how much of that information has been scrubbed by us, I think we at the Atmosphere just sanitized it because it was too much... it was just... bad.

There wasn't any tar, exactly... [ The 'but' hangs. he lets the flashlight fall out of his hand, it stopping from dropping to the ground thanks to the wrist strap. he turns to glance at Jewel apologetically. ]

...it's just a hallucination. Have had it since, there's nothing to worry about.
